I posted a few days ago with complaints of swollen/bruised joints, allover muscle and joint pain, swollen ribcage area, a clicking sound in my chest, and constant crackling/popping.

MY BACK IS SO MESSED UP!
It is hurting so incredibly bad.
I looked in the mirror, and several of the nodules are completely swollen over. My ribcage is still enormous. My bottom left rib is sticking out a LOT and is very very tender to the touch. It also looks like muscles or tendons in my shoulders are swollen.
You can barely see it in the pics, but there is a bruise that goes up the side of the spine, localized near the swelling.
There is a lot of clicking and popping going on around the front of my ribs and sternum.

***There is no nudity in these, just a nude back. But NSFW***

PLEASE PLEASE can someone tell me what the heck is going on??? This all came on so suddenly. I wasn't injured or anything!

I haven't been officially diagnosed with anything yet, although 2 drs suspect lupus.

Honestly, I cannot even begin to guess what is wrong, but I did have a couple of questions if I may. You say that a couple of doctors suspect lupus. Have you shown these doctors your back? In other words, have you seen anyone since your back became so involved? If it were me, I would see a doctor immediately even if it meant going to an ER. That looks painful and may or may not be related to anything else you may have going on. I hope that you are able to get an answer quickly.
Take care, Fran

FW,

The swelling and uneven scapulas I just noticed today. I worked until 5 so I didn't get a chance to go to the doctor.

I will most probably go to the ER, because I'm noticing that my scapula is "winged". It sticks out of my back and is completely uneven with the other one. I'm also getting this hot, crawling sensation over that area. Very concerning. My temp is 99, which is a little elevated. Half of my face is swollen. I would rather be safe than sorry, in case it's something vascular-related, or cancer.

I know that conditions like Spondylitis and thoratic outlet syndrome are sometimes related to AutoImmune conditions. I was hoping that someone reading this has had experience with something similar.

Update:

Just got back.

-The doctors (all on staff) agreed that the swelling and inflammation on my back was connected to the auto-immune diagnosis (even though we don't know for sure what it is yet). But they have no idea what caused the spine swelling.

-My scapula (shoulderblade) IS funky and swollen and protruding. It's called a "Winged Scapula". Usually caused by injury, but in my case...they don't know. Again, they think it's related to an underlying autoimmune problem.

Gave me pain meds and anti-inflam. The next step will be to contact the new Rheumy. This is a pretty strong symptom of SOMETHING, to say the least.

Now, the bad news.
-The "clicking" in my chest is my heart. I'm 27 years old and in great shape and I have a heart murmur loud enough that people sitting NEXT TO ME can hear. I have never had any issues in the past, and I've had a physical this year.

So, once again, the murmur is also most likely due to some underlying illness that is attacking cartilages/connective tissues. I have to go to a cardiologist and get an echo done to see how bad it is. I won't be surprised if I need the valve replaced.

Glad I went. Even though I still have no answers as to causes, I found out about a potentially dangerous heart problem and got a little more ammunition for my rheumy.
