Hi everyone,
I'm very new to writing in a forum so please bear with me.  I have just recently been diagnosed with discoid lupus (about 4 months ago).  I have struggled with this diagnosis and the symptoms that accompany it over the past few months but I feel like I am finally coming to grips with it....although every now and then I get a little discouraged.  In particular last month my hair begain thinning really bad on the top of my head and I was extremely fatigued.
In an effort to cheer me up my husband is sending myself and a girlfriend to NYC for a few days.  I'd like to spruce myself up for the trip and was considering a spray tan.  I do not have any lesions, and have never had them to date, but I'm still wondering if this is safe?  Has anyone tried a spray tan and what was your experience.  I'm also taking plaquinel and a topical ointment called protopic.  Wondering if this will effect the spray tan?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much
S

Maybe you could go and ask for a sample to be placed on a small area of your body, maybe a 2" round spot, to see if you have any kind of a reaction first?
