Just thought I would share this with you all. I find it absolutely ironic!

On Monday, I went to the ophthamologist for my eye checkup for Plaquenil. Well, they did the works including dilating my eyes. When the assistant was putting the drops in my eyes she missed on the first try and then I believe she actually touched my eye with the bottle tip. It felt kind of funny.

Well, on Thursday I woke up and my eye was kind of irritated(the one that the bottle touched). By yesterday I was at my primary care doctor with full blown pinkeye.

So, who gets Pinkeye at an Opthamologist's office? I do!

Have a great evening everyone.

I had to throw away a half full bottle of my glaucoma meds because I touched my eyeball with the tip and I got pink eye from it.

It happens.....and usually to us. ;-)

Mary Ann:

Sorry, you have a case of pink eye. I hate the stuff I hope you get over it really soon. Make sure you use new wash cloths and towels after showering or washing your face.

If anyone is going to get something it will be a person with lupus LOL.

I hope you will let your opthalmologist's office know what happened so that they won't infect anyone else.
