A year ago my family doc discovered I have a heart murmur. Went to a cardiologist, had an echocardiogram done & found my aortic root is dilated. I had no symptoms at the time.

Now I have shortness of breath & chest pain. Went back to my family doc who ordered up another echocardiogram. The dilation has gotten larger. So I'm headed back to the cardiologist in a month.

Anyone else have experience with this diagnosis? I'm in a decent amount of discomfort and am wondering what to expect.

No, I've never experienced this, but I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

Sorry, no ideas on this. Maybe put a post on the Heart & Cardiovascular disease forum? They might be able to help in some way.
