Please HELP!!! I've recently been seen by Rummy due to referral due to elevated ANA 1:1260. Rummy had lab test run with the following results: ANA speckled 1:640 and homogeneous 1:80. Histone 1.7 which is considered moderate positive by laboratory. I do not take any medication which could cause drug induced Lupus. All other labs were NEG. I have had to have plugs in my tear ducts approx 2 yrs ago due to severe dry eyes. Joint and muscle pain started approx 3 months ago. Rummy now wants me to followup with him in 3 months but no diagnosis of any kind. Just worried.....any insight? confused

If you are experiencing no symptoms then seeing you again in 3 months is a normal course of action, no worries!

(Below added after re-reading your post...)

If your joint & muscle pain is more severe then I'd ask rheumy what his plans are to address that. If no response, try for a second opinion. No reason to totally ignore issues, that's just silly!

Hello Lynnwood.....yes I have painful joints but because they dont look red or swollen my Rummy isnt taking me seriously. I am taking Advil every 6hrs.....of course some days are better than others. I do get the butterfly mask which started at the first of this year. I also get the rash on my scalp which comes and goes. Oral "canker sores" on occasion.

I agree with Lynnwood. If he's not going to help you find a new doctor.

Thank you for info. I was thinking the same thing about finding a new physician.
