organ involvement

I am sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but Is the thyroid gland considered organ involvement?

good question....
IMHO, I believe it's considered an organ and if lupus affects organs then it's considered organ involvement.
Lupus, RA, Fibromyalgia, Glaucoma, Asthma, Hypothyriodism, Sleep Apnea, Depression, Allergies, and benign familia tremors

Here is an article that was on the Lupus Foundation website I believe this should answer some of your questions on lupus affecting the thyroid.

DX- RA, Lupus, Fibro, LGL Leukemia, Obstructive & Central Sleep Apnea, Pulmonary Hypertension, Bells Palsy, Gastroparsis, Blood Clots, Glaucoma, Chronic Pericarditis & Pleurisy, Severe Anemia. Way to many medications to list.
