How sad, I was hoping she was going home. Well, at least she can heal in the hospital for awhile longer.

Hey Barb,

Hadn't had a chance to check here. We need to catch up soon. Hoping you are back home at this point.

Still hanging in there, myself, though its an endless battle much like you, though I believe you have it much worse on a day to day basis.

Thinking of you,

David

Hey, Thanks for your reply to my eyes hurting post, since the new plugs got put in they are better, still need tons of drops, but they are better...Many continued prayers to you and hope those bones are mending. You need some resting and hope your able to get some sleep...
Many prayer and many thanks...hubby is going to allow me to get expensive wrap around sunglass as the summer sun down here in Texas can really hurt your eyes, these should help and I get to wear them at night too, to block out those headlights...
Many prayers...

Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes. I'm sorry I've not been posting and updating you a lot. I have to say that the pain of a fractured hip/pelvis is NO FUN AT ALL. I truly believe I'm not healing at all so far. We aren't sure of exactly when I fractured the hip/pelvis but I'm guessing somewhere around the 16th of Feb.

A normal person (NO COMMENTS PLEASE shocked ) would heal in 6-8 weeks. However, I'm not in the "NORMAL" population. They said I could take longer to heal. Well, it's been 6 weeks, working on 7 and my pain hasn't lessened at all. I'm also feeling a popping sound and hear it when I do move. I've sent a message off the to orthopedic surgeon and he has 72 hours to respond to my request. Hopefully, he'll respond sooner rather than later.

My viral pneumonia is almost gone. I'm still wheezing a lot though, I'll be seeing my pulmonary Dr in another 3 weeks. She added 2 more inhaler and ordered a machine do to breathing treatments for at home. Still haven't seen my dermatologist yet, so I've not started my new medication for the vasculititis. My skin is covered in the stuff and I can only imagine what it looks like on the inside on my organs.

I see the vascular surgeons on the 21st of April and my Rheumy on the 27th. I will meet my new PCM on the 7th of April kinda worried about the meeting. I mean my old PCM and I were together for over 9 years and now I need to start all over again with this one. I know my old PCM was really worried about my relationship with my Rheumy (we don't get along the best) and she was the go between the two of us. I told her to go on to her new duty assignment and I'll be just fine with my Rheumy and she just needs to enjoy the south pacific and sunshine.

Well, I need to get to bed. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the support you're giving me. I hope that you are all doing better. I'll be posting more when I can sit in a chair longer. Take care and thank you so much for your loving support.

Hugs,
Barbara

Barbs, glad to hear the pneumonia is almost gone. This is good news.

I hope this new PCM will be good too and you will be comfortable with this one. Starting over is hard especially when we are already settled and comfortable with one we know.

Get your rest.

Keeping you in my prayers and thoughts.

Thanks for the update Lynnwood. I'm glad Barb is out of ICU, but I wish she didn't have so many serious problems to deal with. I hope she beats all this and is out of the hospital soon. Love, Butterflake
