Hi I am new member and as I read all the post I see that I am not alone suffering all these symptons. Right now I am having terrible cramps all over my body I can hardly move so I am drinking a lot of coconut water that contains a lot of potassium.
I was dx with Lupus, Hashimoto, Sjogren and who knows what else all I know is that I hate being sick I was very active and now my entire life has changed and the worst is the people around me thinks that everything I feel is in my head like they know, they look at me like I am inventing all these pains and ackes. I used to be the pilar of the family and fixed everybody's problems and now that I am sick nobody understands what I am going through, is that possible?
I have a job and I do not know if I will be able to do it anymore I Have no anergy what is next? I am 54 and I feel like I am ready to retire.
I am sorry for all of you that goes through the same. i wish we find something that will help us!

It's hard to dealing with all this mess and everyone depending on you to be the strong one.
You don't have to be the only support in the family. Sit your family down and explain what is going on with you. Explain that you need their help and understanding that you're sick now and can't do all you used to do.

Try to take care of yourself. We're here for you.

I got where I couldn't work anymore because I was miserable every day. I was fortunate to have long term disability insurance. when I left my job the insurance kicked in and I applied for SSDI immediately. I lived off of the LTD until SSDI started up.
If you decided to do SSDI make sure to hire a lawyer right away. They don't charge anything unless you win. Then they only get 25% or $6000 of your back pay.

Make sure your doctors know that your applying so they will fill out the proper paperwork when called on.

One more time thanks for the info. I am going to check my insurance closely to see if I have long term disability and apply for SSDI hopefully it does not take too long to get it.
Right now I came to work I feel like a zombie becouse if meds. And I did not sleep good I have no energy. I can only pray that the day goes fast. Blessings

Hello! I am a member of another forum, but I did have a few questions. My daughter-in-law is in the hospital right now. She has had Diabetes since a child. Now, at age 38 she has been diagnosed with Lupus (about a year ago). She had a severe attack along with the Lupus kicking in, plus she's bloated. Is there any advice you can give my son? Taking care of her will be even more difficult now. What can she expect? She has applied for SSDI and Medicaid. Thank you.
