Update on Barbara Lee

Poor Barbara, sending positive vibes her way.

I just came here on purpose to see any new report on my dear friend, and here it is. thanks for posting and sharing.

So sorry her troubles are increasing, and like me, we never seem to cop a break in the action.

If you speak to her, please tell her David (Purgatory) from the PC group is asking about her, and still offers her name up to prayer every day.

We both made a pact together, long ago, that despite her woes and mine that neither of us would ever give up hope. She's done an outstanding effort on her part of the deal.

As for me, things continue to worsen. Have lost nearly 110 pounds now in 14 months without trying. A tumor was found in my face (lower left cheek bone area), and the VA is doing surgery on June 23rd to remove it. The ENT surgeon is expecting it to be cancer, if so, it will be my 5th event since year 2000.

Having a full body CT done in the morning. After being without teeth for nearly 9 months, the VA should have my dentures ready for me in about 2 weeks.

I'm sorry that I'm not addressing each of your individually but I'm just to sick at the moment to handle much. I'd like to thank Lynnwood for starting this thread and keeping the updates together for me. Lynnwood you're always there for us and we really appreciate you more than you'll ever know.

I'm not going to post much right now. I'll put in a bigger update tomorrow, I've been in a major flare up and my breathing has become a major nightmare. My foot and periformsis muscle is a fine mess. Pain 24/7 no matter what I do for it.

Been walking on egg shells here at home and feel that if my body holds on long enough, I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown anyway. Things just aren't the same now with my daughter since she's gone away to college and lived on her own. It's just upsetting that I feel we're at each other all the time. On top of all of that I've managed to misplace my cell phone and wouldn't you know, it's turned off. So, I can't hear it ring at all. I know for sure I had it in my hot little hand on Saturday night.

Please send me more positive energy, thoughts, love and prayers. I need my cell phone, I need my pain to lessen, and I NEED to feel some better. I know a lot of you folks are not doing the best and I assure you I'm reading the posts here and you're all in my prayers. I'll post more after I've had some sleep tonight. I hope you all are sleeping and have a good day today.

Continued prayers for you Barbara...Hope you and your daughter can get things worked out, maybe ask her to come and go to a movie sometime...when your up to it...or have a rent movie weekend at home...

I hope this finds you with cellphone in hand and with pain lessened.

I'm sure it's hard on everyone to have a college-graduate adult daughter living at home, I hope you have all come to a peaceful place by now. Everyone is probably trying to fit into the old behaviors and the old relationships, but everything is different now so that stuff won't work. Always difficult to forge new paths!

LOL. I don't think find my phone will tell Barbara if it's in the sofa or under the bed or in the clothes hamper!!!
