Barbara found the phone, but has managed to break a few more ribs. In addition, her new PCP isn't being as responsive as she is used to about refilling prescriptions, and tensions are still high with re-integrating her daughter into her home. Prayers for health & peace!

Thnx Lynwood
And Barbara.

Thoughts & prayers are with you..

Please keep in mind that you & your health MUST be your priority hon.
Anyone not helping you maintain your health, no matter WHO they are, is hurting you.

Up to you whether you let them do that.

Harsh words I know - I had to seriously limit time w/relatives who wanted to stress me out.
Power play by people I have (I thought) helped their entire lives..
Surprised me a lot..

It Hurt but was best for everyone. I don't think they cared. Those people have all kinds of friends they can go do their thing with.. Argue, fight, walk all over... I just do not have the strength any more.

Lov you hon

Barbara apparently fell on the outside patio last Tuesday and cut her leg open and needed 6 stitches to stop the bleeding. Landed on rusted metal - allergic to the tetanus shot. So they gave her an antibiotic that is contraindicated with the stool transplant she had for c-diff a few weeks ago. And, ta-da, c-diff symptoms are back....

Of course, the fall also re-injured the bad foot/ankle and the broken pelvis...

Shoot, Barbara! I said you needed a break, but not break a bone!
I hope your leg gets well soon and you don't get any more problems from it. Can they repeat the c-diff treatment after you finish the antibiotics?

Hello to all my dear friends:

I know it's been a VERY LONG time since I posted. I'm sorry for that, but my head hasn't been in a very good place lately. I was afraid that I would say the wrong thing or get someone really upset with me.

I'm struggling really hard on not giving up on my life. I've been sick so long and am only getting sicker. I woke up Monday with a temp of 101.5 and we aren't sure why. I was supposed to do a sleep study Sunday night and I was to get my IVIG infusion Monday and Tuesday. Of course that didn't happen.

I need to leave here in about 30 minutes to go to the medical center to have my stitches removed from my leg. However, I do not think they are ready and my Rheumy plans on coming to the surgeons office to look at it. He also need to look at me, all of my joints are swollen and painful.

I'm so fatigued I don't now whats going to happen with with. I know for sure I'm getting worse and I can't get off this train ride. Getting pressure on the home front to put everything in writing. I'm so conflicted on my feeling as to funeral, burial, etc. I want my pain to stop period and I'm to the point where I truly believe I'd sell my soul for the pain . Not that my soul is worth all that much.

Nothing has changed with my health other than needing very large tank of oxygen now. They used to be much smaller. Anyway, pelvis is still fractured. My blood counts are getting worse and I believe my leukemia is worsening. I have extreme pain and swelling in my joints. My foot is still in terrible shape and has a huge open wound on it. Nothing to do with it until August.

Well I need to go for now. I'll be back with an update later. I hope you all have a good day that's pain free. Please take care and thank you for all the love from each and everyone of you.

Hugs,
Barbara

Hi Barbara. I'm sorry I don't keep up with you, but I'm battling severe memory and cognitive issues and simply forget. It's really good to hear from you and I'm so very sorry that you can't catch a break.

I'm also sorry you didn't get your IVIG. I've been taking it for over a year and it's been a God send. My IgG and all its' subclasses were below normal. The first few months I was ugly sick for days after getting the infusion. Now I'm only sick for the day of and day after. The great thing for me about IVIG is that I haven't been hospitalized since getting the infusions. Not once. I'm also getting Benlysta infusions monthly that deplete my immune system, but still no in-patient stays. I sincerely hope that eventually you will get some benefit from your IVIG.

Seeing your post reminds me to keep you in my prayers. I'm sending you all the positive energy I can muster Sweetie. Love You, Donna

Hon
Great to see you post

Sorry life is. Such a struggle for you.

I'm finding Putting stuff on paper sounds worse than actually doing it. In the midst of doing that legally myself.
Doing it means I don't have to think about it again.

For myself, having attorney be in charge makes everything less stressful.. but my family situation is very different than yours.

Hugs & prayers !

((((((Gentle hugs)))))))

I feel so sorry for how things are going for you right now.
A few years ago I got a lawyer who wrote my will and a power of attorney for me very cheap.

I hope the doctor's visit was good.

Dearest Barbara,

I had a heck of a time finding this post leading to an update of your status, but I did and I'm here now.

I hear the frustration in your writing, Barbara. I know you are sick and tired of it all, but please know that your posts inspire me every time I read about you. You are my hero. I have never known anyone who has gone through a more difficult physical life than you have and you truly inspire me, Barbara. I am praying tonight to the Blessed Mother and to her Son, to hear my pleas to release you from such serious pain and lesson your struggles. The result will be that of the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit, but that is what I am praying for. I wanted you to know that I hear you. and that I am praying for you.

I don't know if you are talking on the phone now, but I will try to call you tomorrow and if you feel up to it, we will chat. If not, then that is ok with me. Whatever you are up to is ok with me.

I love you dear Barbara and I hope you get this post soon, so you can get a hold of my intentions especially about the phone call.

Take care and God bless.

Love,

Linda

Well, they took me to the ER to me sure Im okay Well they admitted me cause my chest pain isnt getting better. Not sure what the plan is but I will let you know what happens today.

Take care and hugs to all.

Oh, Barbara,

So sorry to hear you've had an adverse reaction to the IVIG this time. I hope your pain is something simple, like stress, and that you'll be released without incident soon!

Hugs,
Lynn

Good morning everyone:

Sorry it's taken me all week to update you. A week ago I was sitting in a hospital room, this morning I'm sitting in my bedroom writing to you.

I was discharged last week from the hospital and really don't know what my status is as far as the IVIG goes. My Rheumy was out of town on vacation when I got sick last week. So, I'm not sure if I'll continue on with the IVIG.

I do see my PCM today and she use to be a Rheumy and had mentioned IVIG to me the first time I saw her. Hoping that she'll be able to get me an answer as to whats going to happen on that front.

I have to say every since the reaction I feel so bad, I'm fatigued, and have tons of joint pain and swelling din all my joints. My pelvis fracture just doesn't want to heal, been told it may NEVER devil heal. My foot is hurting me so badly I just want it off my leg. Of course, I know my surgeon will not do that. The ribs are still fractured and hurting. I just wish that all of these issues were spread between both sides of my body, instead of all being on my left side.

Because of everything being on my left side I'm much weaker and I stumble a lot, been using my walker and am still stumbling. My cut on my right shin is open, and wouldn't it be LOL. nono nono this darn prednisone is just tearing me apart, it's such a double edged sword. It makes me feel better but its making my body fall apart.

After seeing my PCM, I'm doing a six minutes walk to review my oxygen requirements and then I'll see the wound nurse to remove my dressing on my leg. Of course, my luck is never with me and last night while brushing y teeth a crown came out and so I need to see the dentist. I got it in with some temporary stuff but I'll need to see him ASAP.

Well, that's the news here I from here, I'll let you know what they decided about the IVIG when I know more. Please take care of yourselves, and Donna I'm glad to hear that the IVIG and Benlysta is working for you. YOU, certainly deserve a huge break. I will see the vascular surgeon on Wednesday and the radiation oncologist on Thursday. Plus I'll have two days of PT this week. Full week for me so, I'll post when I can, I'm way to anemic this week and need a couple of units of blood. Will be asking for that today, I'm like a vampire I just should keep a fridge full of blood.

Well I need to go, I hope you all have a very good day and VERY LOW PAIN levels. Take care and will post soon.

Hugs,
Barbara
