Hello,
I am new to the forum. And new to Lupus. I also have Fibro and Arthritis.
Here is my problem: I have been sick for 6 days now with what I thought was a tummy virus. BUT, it is not getting better, just worse as far as pain goes. And fatigue! I am going to see my doc this morning. But want to know from others in my situation.....is this a normal Lupus thing?

As I said, it is just feeling worse. And about 4 hours after i eat, I really get socked hard with the pain in my stomach. Been doing probiotics, ginger and the like. Nothing is helping. Also, I have developed a headach that comes and goes too.
Anyone had the same problem?
Thanks!
MeChel

I've had flare ups like that before several times. Mine usually calms down after a week or two. During that time I try to baby my stomach, no spicy foods, just a bland diet. I also take the strongest probiotic I can find everyday to limit my flare ups.

Hopefully your Dr was able to advise you. Sometimes when my Lupus was flaring I would get stomach issues -- if I wasn't already on prednisone my Dr usually tried a short course of it. But you should always check with the Drs and follow their advice.

I have a lot of trouble with my tummy and have found that kefir which is a probiotic drink is helpful. I have a half a cup every morning and it tends to level things out although I don't know that my stomach will ever be a smiley dancing one like the tummies in the activia yogurt commercials lol.
