All my thyroid test come back in the normal range but for some reason I have a high elevated level of thyroid antibodies. I am wondering if this could be related to the lupus since I do not seem to have any thyroid autoimmune disease at the time. I am getting an ultra sound done to see if I have any growth on my thyroid. I have been in very poor health this year and I think maybe if it could be related to my thyroid now being under attack.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

Thanks for your reply. I had an ultrasound done and it show's that I have inflammation in my thyroid. I have been unable to eat solid food due to the feeling of food getting stuck and I am thinking this is why.

Lawchick,

Are you seeing an endocrinologist? Did they do a biopsy? I was diagnosed with Hoshimotos after having a biopsy of the nodules on my thyroid. I found the endocrinologist much more versed in thyroid issues than my PCP. Also the autoimmune disorders like to travel in packs, seems to me if you have one you are more likely to get more. I have SLE and UC as well. Good luck!

Hi,

I am seeing one next week. They didn't do a biopsy they didn't find any nodules. All they found was thyroiditis and the elevated thyroid antibodies. I just hope I am on the road to recovery here, doctors had been acting like I was a crazy person.
