Your PCP or your GYN can do blood tests - they check certain hormones to see if you are nearing or starting menopause. That's about
the only way I know of to get a hint if menopause is involved or not.
I found hot flashes and night sweats occurred for two reasons 1) Lupus and 2) menopause!!! Impossible to tell them apart! (However, Lupus had no effect on my actual cycle, so those changes are probably menopause related.)
My Lupus was diagnosed when I was 43 and now that I'm 56 anything that happens now is Lupus-only. lol
