Here is a list of the most common symptoms used to diagnose Lupus. www.medicinenet.com/systemic_lupus/page3.htm#what_are_lupus_symptoms_and_signs Of course, Lupus can also cause other symptoms, some of which you've mentioned.
Lupus is diagnosed by a rheumotologist, as it is an auto-immune disease. Don't trust other Drs when they say yes or no on Lupus, they often are going on just one symptoms or just one blood test. It takes a combination of things to do a complete diagnosis.
I do have other symptoms that I forgot to list, such as weakness and sun sensitivity. about
4 years ago, I spent the afternoon out in the sun in 90 degree heat. I felt so sick when I got home and had the worst sunburn I've ever had on my back. It didn't look like a normal sunburn though. Also, when I have used tanning beds a few times in the past, I break out in a really bad, itchy rash. I never thought anything of this until reading that it can potentially be a symptom of lupus. I hate warm weather and the sun for those reasons! Anyway, thank you for your feedback. I will be seeing my doctor this week and ask about
doing an ANA test and/or getting a referral to a rheumatologist.
