Hi Everyone. I had extreme fatigue, short of breath, terrible GI issues, and most disturbing weeks of blood pressure avg 150/100 with it at 172/117 during one ER. My internist thought I was having a medication reaction; rheumy doesn't know. My BP went back to normal and I regained strength. I was steadily feeling better for about a month and now my symptoms are back (2 weeks now). Has anyone else experienced this? Having SLE and Fibro I have lots of other symptoms, but the BP confuses me most. Going back to internist Monday.

I hope you're doing better. I've never experienced that before.

My BP was jumping up and down like I had an internal trampoline. I was having shortness of breath & heart palps. I am now on a beta blocker, which is helping to keep my BP more level. I do have a 40% blockage in the front of my heart.

Do you have a Cardiologist?

Hi Jake's Mom. I had the worst headache of my life last Thur, began vomiting uncontrollably and BP up so went to ER. They got everything under control. Saw internist yesterday who put me on metoprolol for my BP. He also ordered an echo, stress test, wants me to also see my neurologist, cardiologist and my infectious disease doc (for sinus problems which appeared on an MRI.

My Hubby took me to my internist, but I think I was well enough to take myself. Today I'm exhausted. Thank you so much for your reply! Love, Butterflake

That is the med I'm on, and it is working pretty well. Be careful with your Raynaud's though. It has made mine a bit worse, and it was in the warnings on the script.

I wish you well with the stress & echo tests.

Yikes! Sorry you are having BP issues.

I think Barbara has had something similar, but I can't remember if they figured out why. If I remember to ask her I will certainly post back here with anything I find out.

Hope you are feeling better now. Hugs.

My father had an attack of A-Fib this past week. Do you have that?

I want to thank everyone for their reply. My cardiac echo is tomorrow plus I'll be turning in a 24 hour urine. Reading everyone's concern has encouraged me to get the persantine stress test. I was going to blow it off. I get so sick of tests and appointments!!!! Love, Butterflake

Tests and appointments aren't any fun, I agree! But if they can find something they can fix, you'll feel better and that will be grand!

Lynnwood I've just about convinced myself that I my problems are the same that most of you have and all these tests aren't necessary. But it would be nice to breathe normally 😉

Hey Donna:

I've finally managed to drag my sorry you know what out of the bed to try to do some posting. I noticed this thread and I wanted to let know what happened to me and possibly it may help you with you BP issue.

This past May after I received my fecal transplant to rid me of the C-diff, I started doing IVIG infusions. After my 2nd infusion we noticed that my bp was elevated. More so on the top number than the bottom one, but the bottom one was elevated to.

I managed to get a total of 6 infusion and had an issue with some chest pain. Of course, my "Jack Wagon Rheumy" (hubby's name for him) stopped my infusions. They were working fine for the vasculitis on the skin and in my lungs. Now my legs and lungs jacked up big time. The Rheumy feels that the chest was do to an allergic reaction and has refused to consider anything else.

Might it be the totally obstructed SVC with a major blood clot in it. Maybe, oh well, back to the subject. Even though I'm no longer on the IVIG infusions my BP is still elevated and I have been given a new BP medication to bring it down. It seems to be working somewhat but he took me off my beta locker to make sure we didn't bottom out my BP. My heart rate now is way out of whack and it's running at about 95 bpm

Maybe you should consider looking into this issue and see if, affected you. Donna you hang in the sweetie you are in my thoughts and prayers daily.

Hugs,
Barbara

Hi Barbara. It's so nice of you to write. I know how badly you've been doing and while I've been spending lots of time in bed you keep pushing to answer on the forum. I'm very proud of you. I continue to take IVIG and have not been admitted. Since tests show all my IgG is low it's very important to fight infection. I'm also taking Benlysta and Cellcept. I continue to be weak, SOB, wicked fog/confusion and epic GI problems. My new BP beta blocker seem to be working well. I'm waiting to cross this bridge and be healthy for a while. I'll pray for you to recover and have some healthy times. I love you dear and appreciate your rely. I'm so very proud of you Barbara! Love, Donna

Sorry you have so much going on.

It took me a while to figure out SOB was Short Of Breath not the "other" SOB abbreviation - glad you are remaining your sweet self.

IvIG, Benlysta, Cellcept, etc... I wish something would help you out of this pickle.

Hugs.
