Optician/eye inflammation

Hi all.

Can a general optician detect inflammation in the eye from auto immune diseases?

An optician is not a doctor. They can't prescribe medication, just eye glasses.

He can see it's inflamed but not know the cause.
Lupus, RA, Fibromyalgia, Glaucoma, Asthma, Hypothyriodism, Sleep Apnea, Depression, Allergies, diabetes, and benign familia tremors
