My question is have you tried Xel Janz for lupus or RA? And if so, has it worked for you?

I've been through the gamet of medications specifically used for Lupus, they either didn't work or didn't agree with my body, blood counts went crazy etc., there's literally nothing left for my doctor to prescribe for me in that area until they release Sifalimuamab. So, for now my Rheumy wants me to try Xel Janz, from what I've read it's for RA, so perhaps it will work for my pain, but the side effects scare me. Side effects mentioned like GI bleeds, I've had two major GI bleeds and don't care to ever go through that again. Actually my GI system is where Lupus attacks my body the worse so I'm not sure if the benefits of Xel Janz would out weigh the cons of taking a risk. I am currently taking Arava and of course Plaquinel (and a slew of other things) the Xel Janz would be in addition to these.

Why oh why does living with this disease and having to make these decisions have to be so difficult....sigh! Any insight from anyone currently taking the medicine is greatly appreciated.

Thank you;
Melissa Dean
