Hi, this is my first time posting, I'll try to be thorough without writing a novel here.
I am one of those people who don't go to doctors unless I absolutely have to and I also don't generally pay attention to possibly abnormal things with my health, so the reality is my current symptoms may occur more often and for longer than I actually realize.
about 3 weeks ago I had an itch on my left thigh, scratched it like I normally would, and woke up with a deep, dark bruise about the size of my hand the next morning. This has occurred several times since. Sometimes it's huge bruises, sometimes several smaller bruises. After about the 3rd time, about 10 days ago, I did a Google search to find out if other people have had something similar, I found many people saying that it happened to them and they already had been, or were diagnosed later with lupus. I didn't know anything beyond the fact that it's an autoimmune disorder so I googled lupus, mainly out of curiosity.
I also have lichen sclerosis, an autoimmune disorder of the skin.(never officially diagnosed, but mine looks just pictures I have found, and my symptoms fit 100%. I just haven't been to a dr in YEARS other than during pregnancy).
I ended finding way more possibility than I thought. I'll list the things I currently have going on that I have found correlation to lupus with.
*red rash on the nose and cheeks (I have always just assumed acne, maybe it is just acne)
*I am losing hair in clumps, especially when I wash it
*Extreme fatigue, I can sleep10 hours and still have a hard time staying awake during the day, but I have a hard time sleeping at night, no matter how tired I am.
*I find it incredibly hard to concentrate on anything, and I sometimes forget the simplest things.
*Headaches, terrible headaches. Sometimes my eyes almost feel sore/bruised from my headaches.
*I find myself going back and forth between diarrhea and constipation. (this I know has happened in spurts for years)
*My teeth hurt really bad (this I know has happened in spurts for years)

I also have some things that I haven't found correlation to, but am still curious.
*I have what appears to be acne all over my back, but bumps don't pop like acne.
*I have random nosebleeds
*I was diagnosed with obstrectric cholestasis in my last pregnancy.
*I struggle with anxiety really bad

I guess I am just looking for other people's experience with lupus and the symptoms I have. I have been avoiding doctors for years, but it's definitely something I need to do soon.

Please get to a doctor to get this check out as soon as possible.

Lupus has several faces and not everyone has the same reactions. That said, you need a full checkup to get these issues fixed and to find out why you're having these problems.

You only have one body and you need to care for it.

I wouldn't necessarily correlate your symptoms with Lupus, but you definitely have something going on. Please see a Dr for a full evaluation ASAP.
