Hello,
I have been teaching for 30 years, I have my master's degree, and a principal's certification; currently I teach 6-7-8 grade math . However, I am having to retire this year due to the high stress in the classroom and my Lupus causing concentration problems and fatigue. I do not want to stop working, I just need a more relaxing environment. Therefore, I have enrolled in dog grooming school, and want to open a small shop.

My question is, does anyone know of any funding help available for women with lupus wanting to go into business?

I don't know of any funding, but I imagine your teacher's pension should help some.

I couldn't work after I left teaching so I just took disability.

I doubt there is anything specifically for Lupus + Women, but there might be something for Chronic Illness + Women.

I've been trying to think of places who would be able to help you find something like that, but so far don't have any ideas. Just wanted to post a note & let you know I'm thinking about it!

Also I added a title to the thread.
