first time talking ! I have been a type1 diabetic since age 5 ,very long time I do extremely well I can deal with this after 50 years maybe a pro but then Lupus since nov.2016 I don't know what 'I'M DOING'. I'm in bed a lot the joints the pain the swelling . My Dr. says it takes awhile for the meds. to work the depression is bad but I am optimistic to function once again as a human being this is tough. I guess I was wondering if any are lost like me thanks to anyone who's reading and for any help.

Welcome, su-su.
The joint pain is the pits, but once the meds get built up in your body it eases up enough to be able to do things again. You still have to be careful to not trigger flare ups and take care of yourself.

I got very low when I was first diagnosed but I'm dealing better with it and trying to remain upbeat. I do see a psychologist who gives me coping skills to handle the mood swings and stresses. As we have all learned stress is bad for us. It can trigger flares for us.
