Has anyone had testing done for lupus or CTD through Exagen Diagnostics? These tests - called "Avise" are supposed to be more accurate/sensitive. I read about them on the new lupus resource site.
Sounds intriguing but can't find much more info other than company info. I'm curious.

I haven't heard of them. Not sure what the website is where you are reading about them, either. Can you clarify?

Hi Lynnewood, I read about it at lupus.resources.org which is really Lupus Foundation's updated site. Under the heading of Lab Tests For Lupus there was an article regarding these newer tests. When I saw my rheumy last week, he claimed to not be all that impressed - and didn't think they were covered by insurance. If you go to the Exagen diagnostics website it's explained fairly well, but there is no mention of cost. That requires a phone call. I think they've been around 3-4 yrs so wondered if anyone might have used their testing, which claims to be more sensitive, which could impact the length of time it seems to take for diagnosis.
