Hi Dustmite. I noticed no one answered your post and everyone deserves an answer even if it's from li'l ol' me. I saw you posted later so have you been to a doc regarding your first flare? I my opinion a temp of 101.6 is high for a flare, but I've never run abnormal temps with Lupus. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable regarding this will reply so you will know next time.
I'm no stranger to my companion diarrhea. Between the vomiting, high temp, and my personal favorite I hope you've had a cup of ice chips, popsicles, and Gatorade with you at all times (even while running to the potty). Yep anything to stay hydrated.
I'm certain that my rheumy and his staff hated me in the early flares, but an experienced rheumy nurse can be invaluable over the phone so next time give them a call. No one wants to find you unconscious on the bathroom floor in a puddle of, well you know....Love, Butterflake
