I know many of you are tired and may be fatigued. However, I think it would be very helpful for me and others to get a sense of how the medicines you've taken have evolved over time so that there is a better sense of the disease's path. (i.e. most everyone starts with plaquenil+symptomatic therapy for example but quite a few go on to steroids, cellcept, azathioprine, rituxan, etc).

For example:

1). Initially just plaquenil and symptomatic therapy for eyes.
----------All well for 1 years
2). For flares, steroids at 60g.
---------All well for 2 months
3). Started cellcept along with tapering steroids course plus symptomatic therapy.

Hi. I think this is a great idea!
Started on hydroxychloroquine 200 mg
added a course off prednisone 10 mg for 3 weeks then tapered to 5mg for 3 months then tapered off..
raised it to 400 mg 3 months later
added methotrexate 7.5 mg once a week 3 months later

Hi SabalSabal. I agree this is a good idea. I've had Lupus so long that my response isn't very accurate, but here goes:
Plaquenil 6 months which helped the last three months.
Methotrexate was added to the Plaquenil and those helped several months and that quit working.
I remained on Plaquenil and added Imuran which didn't help at
I stopped the Imuran, continued Plaquenil and tapered up Cellcept to one Gram twice a day. It helped a couple of years.
Then I became seriously ill and hospitalized with various serious illnesses and found my IgG and all it's subclasses were low so I began receiving IgG infusions monthly.
My Rheumy added Benlysta infusions monthly which I stopped after a couple of years because it was killing all my lymphocytes. I was
going to start Benlysta again but postponed it so I could have a total knee replacement. I will start the Benlysta soon.
In between all this my adrenal glands quit working so I am on a maintenance dose of 7 mg prednisone daily. I have also been on various psych meds over the years, medication for high blood pressure the last 2-3 years, and a mild narcotic for pain. That about covers it! Love, Butterflake
SLE '05, Sjogren's, Fibro, Raynaud's, major depressive disorder, anxiety; CVID (Common Variable Immunodeficiency); IVIG infusion monthly; Hypertension; Osteoarthritis of the spine, right knee, fingers, toes; Osteoporosis, CNS problems, GERD, angina, 1st stage kidney disease. Many meds: Better living through chemistry
