So I have lupus and was positive for covid on the second of Nov. after one round of steroids the symptoms did not go away so we did this three more times. Now I have developed a stomach ulcer that is unbearable. They have given me carafate and omeprazole to deal until I can see a GI but it is not going well. I’m trying to not eat acidic foods but it’s in everything. Would it make sense that I would continue to be in pain and diarrhea (I’ve now taken Imodium) if the timing is off? Can I eat like ramen or soup? Is that acidic? Has anyone dealt with this and give me any sort of help. This is the worst I have ever felt in my life.

Apparently the idea of ulcers being caused by steroids has been proven untrue.

I've been on steroids many years without any issues.

I would expect treatment to be the same as for any ulcer. Here are some foods to eat and some to avoid. https://health.usnews.com/conditions/digestive-disease/peptic-ulcer/articles/stomach-ulcer-diet-foods-to-eat-and-avoid

Good luck.
