My hot flashes consisted of waking up in the night soaking wet -- no fever. These lasted from about age 32 untill Lupus drugs at about age 43. 48 now and still no sign of menopause --- That's why I'm pretty sure it was Lupus -- even the drs didn't know what it was, and believe me, I tried to find out! It was very annoying, esp on the nights when I had to change not only my nightclothes but also my bedclothes!
