I haven't been around for a while, but now I am off work for the summer so I will probably be on more often.
I went to see a pain management doctor last week because my primary doc felt I was on too much meds.  Anyway, by the time I left the pain doc I had 3 new prescriptions to add to what I am already taking.  She told me that for what I have I am not on too much medication and most likely need more.  She prescribed Lyrica for pain and then two prescription vitamins to help with memory loss.  I haven't started them yet because I am seeing the neuro on Wed of next week and want to wait and see what she says.
In the meantime I went for about a week without Plaquenil and then on Saturday I woke up and my hands were a mess.  They were bright red and swollen and very sensitive to touch.  When I touched the palms they felt like they were on fire and it was painful.  I quick got my prescription for Plaquenil and within 24 hours they were better.  Ithough it was really weird though.  Has anyone else had that happen?
Anyway, I am enjoying my summer break.  Sitting here cross stitiching a blanket for my soon to be born 4th grandson.  Daughter in law had some pretty severe Braxton HIcks this morning.  Thought we were going to meet Addison a little early, but now she seems fine.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hey Mary Ann, good to hear from you! Congs on the up coming event. All though I have to admit I had to look up Braxton Hick. LOL I only knew it as false labor. I'm glad to hear you are getting meds I hope the new stuff improves your health. I could use some vitamins for my memory as well. But I'd probably forget to pick them up! Going without your plaq. that was not exactly the brightest thing you ever did hah? I have to go one day without them next week. (finacial) and I'm already concerned. I'm happy that you were able to bounce back so quickly though. That says alot about how well you try to take care of yourself. I hope your neuro can give you some good advice as well.

God Bless

Hi Mary Ann,

It's good to see you. I'm glad to hear you have the summer off to relax and enjoy the family. I have heard others say they stopped their plaq and had bad experiences also. It's a good thing you got back on it quickly before you got any worse.

I hope your pain management goes well and you get some relief soon. Please keep us updated and take care. Enjoy the summer! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
