Hi all. I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I have been sick most of the trip. sad My lungs got pretty filled up and boy have I been tired. I feel like I lost most of my time sleeping. Everywhere I went I made a B line for the bed. People came over to have a party for me and I was in bed most of the time. It's so sad. I feel like such a slug. Anyway I'll be back to oklahoma on wednesday. I'll probably at least check in and let you know I made it if the airports and the flights don't do me in first. The thought of dragging my suitcase through the airport is really scarey for me. I know it's gonna be really hard on me. So please keep me in your prayers that I have enough energy for one last leg of this journey.

look forward to catching up with all of you

love

Hi Carol,
I'm sorry you've been sick on your trip. You have my best wishes and prayers that you make it through the airport and back home safe and sound. I wonder if you get to the airport early if you couldn't get someone to drive you to the gate in those little golf carts. I had to have them do that for me once because I suddenly couldn't walk for a spell. I hope you enjoyed some of the trip and got to see some people you haven't seen in a while. Take care and will be hoping you get through that airport and home again.

Hi Marji, thanks sweetie, Actually I got a car picking me up so I'll have them drop me right at the outside check in. That way I don't have to carry a lot of stuff. Also phoenix has those belts you can ride down so you don't have to walk in less you want to. I could get a wheel chair and will if I feel that bad. Yes I did get to see alot of people thank you for asking. I just hate it when the body dictates what I am going to do. The last time I was out here I went out on the quads and had a great time. I didn't even leave my friends porch this time. I'm at my last bros house right now and it's really laid back so I don't mind having my own room and eating and sleeping when I want to. Sort of like at home. Well I gotta go. I have some last min. stuff to do.

see you on the okie side

love

Carol,

(((Hugs))) I'm sorry this trip has been so hard on you sweetie! Hopefully, when you get home you can get alot of rest and perk up a little.

I tried to post earlier today but, that anti-spam filter thing makes it so slow! It is annoying!

Please take care and rest all you can. Hang in there! You have been missed by us all. Update us when you can. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

                                               Love ya, Babs

Hi Okie . . . so sorry you are having such a frightful trip. Is it possible for you to UP your prednisone a bit until you get home??? Lynnwood had a topic about that and she brought up a really helpful hint for people who can take prednisone and who are allowed by their doc to increase it. She goes up with it a bit the day before, during and after a hectic event (dentist, trip, etc.) . . . would your doc let you try that??? Prayers for you sis!! Blessings!

(((((Carol))))))

What a shame you've felt so bad. It just doesn't seem quite right that you'd go on vacation and be sick the whole time. I hope your family and friends have been understanding. I'm glad you're planning to do what you need to do in order to make the trip less painful. Traveling can be so exhausting. I do hope you'll get a wheelchair if you're tired and be sure to pre-board. Rosie's idea about taking a little bit of extra prednisone is a terrific idea and I also hope you can see your doctor soon.

We have missed you so much. The forum just isn't the same without your happy messages. You'll be in my thoughts on Wednesday and I hope the trip isn't too hard on you.

Love,

Pat

Carol, I've wondered how you have been doing. I'm really sorry to hear that you have felt so sick for most of your trip. I hate feeling sick while traveling and staying with people - I always wonder what they are thinking with me spending so much time in bed. It sounds like your brother's house is a nice place for you to be though where you can rest as much as you need to. I hope the travel back home isn't too hard on you. Everyone had some great ideas for you. I've missed you a lot. I agree with Pat that there is something missing here without you. You are such a big part of this forum. Make sure you get plenty of rest when you get home and that you take lots of time to recover from your travels. Love and hugs

Hi ya, Bab's,Rosie,Patty,Hippi, and Omega. Thank you for responding. I've have missed you all also. It's hard when other people don't understand. Even when they try to they really can't get it unless they have been there. Thank you also for the great advise. Yes my doctor does actually encourage me to take extra pred. when I am having a rough time. I was actually down to my last 5mg. yesterday. So I called my doctor this morning and had them call me some in at the walmart out here. My copay was a dollar! I took 10mg. so hopefully it will help me get through this time. I actually have a sneaky suspision the the steroids I brought with me were outdated and weak. I took every one I had at home with me so who know which ones were good. I know they wern't from the last percription I had and I try to not take them on good days. I'll have to read what Lynnwood wrote. (thanks Lynnwood). You all have a great day and I'll shout when I get back

love ya

Hi Rosie, thank you for the link. It's funny what we put our bodies through and never consider the outcome. Unless somone here has gone through it and gives us a reminder. I guess we can't ever know enough about this disease can we?

Carol, have a safe trip home tomorrow. It will be good to have you back, but don't worry about posting till you start to feel better. Your body needs some rest.

Carol:  Stinks that you are not feeling well and not being able to enjoy yourself fully.  I know you missed some of the party, but it was for the best.  Your body needs the extra rest.  Make rest/sleep the number 1 priority when you get back.  Hope you are safe traveling.  Take it easy and go easy on yourself.  At least you were able to make the trip, see love ones and participate in some of the activities.  That says a lot.  Somethings are worth taking the plunge for.  Hope you had a lot of fun.  Be well & HUGS - Kristin

Hi everyone. I'm so tired I can't think straight. I even called my brother to find out about him dropping off my dog and forgot to mention my dog at all. Anyway I'm home safe. Thank you for your prayers. I took 40 mg.of steroids and I hurt so bad in my back and chest for some reason, so after that much predisone I'm glad I was able to get an appt tomorrow.. I have a doctors appt: in the morning. I think right now I'm gonna just find my bed and fall in it. hopfully I'll be able to participate and catch up. ok so anyway now I'm rambling
