Hello Weleetka,
Welcome to the forum!  You've found a safe and warm place to ask questions and gain knowledge, as well as offer advice and support to others.
Don't hesitate to ask anything that is on your mind.  We're a very supportive bunch here and no question is dumb!  All of our concerns regarding lupus are valid.
I look forward to getting to know you!

Thank you Ginny....
My Dr. tells me my Lupus is a mild form... It affects all of my joints and my eyes... Since my Dr finally told me that I had Lupus and put me on the medicine.. I have done pretty good.. I only take one med for the joint pain... I do get the flares and sometimes they are really rough. I'm not working now and THAT has been a huge help... Seems like I need a lot of rest.....I'm 54 years old with a husband and three kids, three grandkids and three step grands... I look forward to meeting and learning about the people on the board....

Hi Weleetka,
I'm recently new to the forum also and I think you will find the people here very friendly and most of all understanding. Everyone is so well informed and more than willing to answer questions and be there for an ear or shoulder to cry on. I think you will find yourself checking the forum several times a day (it seems to become addicting!)

Welcome Weleetka! One of my best friends, in fact my high school biology teacher, lives in Wetumka. You and I are of the same generation and were diagnosed at approximately the same time. It's great to have you here. My laptop is about to turn off because I've used up the battery, but I'll check back in with you soon. We love meeting new folks here.

Welcome Weleetka!! I'm another 54 your old!! Will be 55 in about a month. I'm like you and have mainly connective tissue issues and fatigue. I also get rashes (which is good because it is an early warning system) and am having more and more bouts of inflammatory bowel.

I have a very supportive husband, four adult children and two grands.

Glad you found us!!

Hello Weleetka,
I'm a 50 some year old (okay 52) mom of 2 daughters, have 2 grands who are the light of my life and a husband who is still my dreamboat. I've got a few autoimmune issues and there's nothing like having a place like this to "hang out" with people who truly understand. You can ask questions and someone can usually steer you in the right direction to find an answer or sympathize with you because they have had the samy experience. We also have a little fun from time to makes coping with these crazy things a lot easier. In other words you have found a great place. Glad you're here.
