Thanks redrose. I guess that and aldactone--a growth hormone type medicine-- are standard cirrhosis treatment. The side effects to lasix seem a little scary and I don't have super high blood pressure but it is climbing with all the water I'm now retaining. Maybe it will work, maybe not, but might be worth a try. I bet my water will come back too. I'm starting a vitamin E and omega three regimen, 1000 IU vitamin E a day, which is supposed to be very very effective in reversing my type of liver disease. I'm on a low dose now and it sure has helped the gi tract. Apparently, I don't process these vitamins from fats right and run very deficient due to my NASH, so this is very effective. Thanks again for the info, it is really very helpful and hope you and the baby are resting peacefully after the holiday.
