Hi Everyone. Recently, I've been doing better compared to where I was a couple months ago. I'm not exactly an outgoing person, but I like to go places. I would constantly go to the movies, museums, broadway shows, or just leave the house for the sake of leaving the house. Since getting sick, I've been stuck at home and I haven't gone out much recently. I don't mind it, I prefer to stay at home because I'm just so tired.
Anyway, two days ago Darren Hayes was doing a tour at Borders bookstores for free and you get a chance to meet him and get a signing and all that. Lots of people in the US don't really know who he is, he's really big in the UK and Australia. The crowd was small and pleasant. Nothing rowdy. Anyway, my dad dropped me off so I wouldn't have the hour long train ride from queens to manhattan and I met my boyfriend and we went. I had to stand the whole time, but I really didn't care. I'm usually not a groupie, but I got a chance to talk to him and I was so happy. :)
We took the train back, only a half hour ride to my boyfriend's place and we took his car to drop me off home. All in all, I was out for maybe four hours. It was nothing. Before I finished school, I had a tutoring job, taught piano on weekends, was taking 18 credits and school hopping from manhattan to queens to brooklyn. I was a ball of energy and now I went out for four hours and was dead when I came home.
Now to the point... yesterday I was tired and slept most of the day and went to work in the afternoon. I only work five hours and it's a desk job. My right knee started to hurt a little, but it wasn't anything big. This morning I work up and the same knee hurts really really badly. It's feel sort of like the usual joint pain, but theres something extra. Theres a lump right below my knee thats red hot and hurts when I touch and it's probably the source of most of my pain. I called my rheumy just in case and I'm waiting for his call back. My boyfriend thinks it probably has to do with the little activity I had, which sucks because I that really wasn't much activity. Though, it's the most activity I had since July. Anyone has any idea what it could be? Is it lupus, or the activity or both?
I still got to leave the house and take pictures of manhattan at night and I have my pictures with Darren, and my cd and poster signed, so I'm still saying it's worth it!
