Hi Everyone.  I 've been flaring and unable to post.  My BF caught a virus which I then caught and went into a flare.  Several days of bed ridden and all holiday plans (not to mention housework) on hold.  Don't you just HATE lying in bed unable to even watch TV because the pain & fatigue have you pinned?!  Lupus sucks.  I'm finally past the worst of this one and able to send some positive energy out to all of you.  Love, Butterflake

Butterflake, I'm really sorry to hear about your flare and hope that you continue to improve. I know it's easier said than done, but the holiday plans and household stuff really can wait, just make sure to take care of yourself. I agree that it really stinks to have no choice but to lay around and watch tv. Before I had lupus I used to love having the luxury of taking a nap once in a while - now I despise napping because I feel like it is forced on me and not an option anymore.

Take care of yourself. ((((hugs))))

Hey Donna, How is that flare coming along sis? ave you been able to get out of bed and put any plans together for the holiday? I am so sorry I have not been a better friend and mre on top of things. Like you said Lupus sucks. It tries to take all the joy ot of your life. I hope your B/F was able to get over the flu too. These losey bugs just seem to want to hold on forever. Like I told others I got a king size bed and it's close to the bathroom and the kitchen, lots of soft pillow fights and some of Rosie's tea and we will be all set.
love ya

Hi Donna,
I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly, and so close to Christmas too.  There's still lots of time to get well!  Sending you cyber hugs and Rosie's tea! I think we're all enjoying some of that tonight.
Did you get your flu shot this year?  Stay warm and well,

Hope you continue to perk up. Is your daughter home for her break? I'm sure that is good medicine for you. Don't overdo it, though, as we tend to when our kids that are "away from the nest" come home to roost for awhile.

Plus we have some work to do with Okie. I think she needs some *special* humor to help her recover from her latest round of poor health. :-)

Yesterday was the first time I've ever not been able to even watch TV because the fatigue has just been too much.  I laid down for a nap after taking my methotrexate (I have a nasty cold too) and I slept for 5 hours, pretty  much on and off.  I had a good night's sleep the night before, and was only awake for 4 hours before my really long nap.  I woke up only to cough and take a drink of H20 every now and then.  WOW, I do really know what you are talking about now.  Yesterday sucked!  Hope you are feeling better soon.
