my llmd wants me to take this http://www.theralac.com/Buy.aspx

Like most things I'm taking, taint cheap. I ordered a half case to begin with because I knew I would be taking them for a while.

My kids are taking kydophilus we got from Linberg Nutrition and I think are availlable elesewhere.

I was taking these before I saw the doctor https://commerce.hacres.com/product.aspx

All are refrigerated.

Odo and metagenics are good. i was recommended to get the ones with 8 different types of bacteria all in one. You have to look at the contents. The more variety, the better chance they will survive.

Consumer Reports evaluated probiotics and they have a great list. I am a member so I will copy and paste it later.

Some good ones you can order online (and perhaps find in a store):

ThreeLac or FiveLac (doesn't need to be refrigerated)
Theralac (different than ThreeLac)
Florastor (doesn't need to be refrigerated)

Some good ones to get from a store:

Primadophilus Optima (Optima has the most strains and highest # of bacteria)
Jarrodophilus (doesn't need to be refrigerated)

You might also look into Saccharomyces boldarii - Florastor has some in it, but you can also buy it separately. There is a super duper probiotic called VSL-3 that could be used every once in awhile. I put the powder in applesauce. Also, fermented foods can turn into good bacteria in the body. I like Kombucha tea. It's bubbly - so like a cocktail but healthy! It's a little vinegary . . . but good! Don't shake them or they can explode!

Take care,
Lexi
