Hi janem.  Did your doctor prescribe these?  What doses of each will you be taking?

If your Babesiosis case is pretty severe, I think taking Mepron and Zithromax is enough.

Thanks Ticker ! I am just frustrated at the moment ....a few months of Mepron and Zithromax knock the Babs down ...but the Lyme comes surging back. I then switch to a few months of Flagyl and zithromax ....and get control of the Lyme only to have the babs symptoms crawl back in ...just wondered if I could do all three to prevent the yo-yo effect !

I just found out I have babs and will start treatment in a few weeks... Just wondering any side effects of the mepron/zitromax combo... from what i've heard, i'll prob be on these meds... is it possible that I'd stay on the doxy for the lyme as well?

I have no side effects from the mepron/zith combo except for a buzzing in the head . I havent taken doxy with this combo. Do remeber to eat something fatty with the mepron ( peanut butter or icecream works well ) because the fat aids aborption.
