my dad, who has now been bedridden for 3 weeks has a picc line put in on tuesday and his first dose of rocephin in the hospital. my mom and he have been waiting for insurance approval since then and he hasn't had another dose. did anybody else have trouble with insurance covering iv drugs? what will he do if they deny it?
cheryl
ps: the next day he was sitting up in a chair-feeling stronger.

They will probably cover 28 days (because as we all know that's all you need to get cured, wouldn't that be nice)  I am on my second round.Stopped after the first 28 days due to insurance stopping payment and kick myself everyday.  I was doing so well.

Now insurance won't pay a dime, and I spend $700 a week.

You guys...that is crazy. My doctor sells it for $40 a day. She mixes it and everything. Plus she gets the heparin and saline donated from other patients that don't need it or have insurance coverage.
