I wear 45 on my face every day. A couple of weeks ago I got too much sun on my hands. A week passed and it is now a raised bumpy itchy rash. It is now starting to pop up on other parts of my hands. My nose is red too even though I wear 45 daily. I also add more to my nose in the afternoon. I am not out in the sun a ton. I am on my 5th week of Doxy 400mg. I am going to stay on it for 8 weeks - hopefully. If the rash gets worse, I may not. Help!! I put calendula cream on it and it does not help. Also, cortizone cream... no help... Help!!

I had the same with doxy. I covered my hands with gloves, even while driving my car. I bought a big hat to cover my nose as well. Stay out of the sun as much as possible.
I uses cooling aloe with 1% lidocaine and it gave me some relief.

Bailygirl76, when taking Doxy it is very important to avoid sun exposure. You can get a serious burn even when wearing sunscreen. Wearing long sleeves and a hat when walking to the car etc. can help.

Get a blood test for vitamin d25 and 125, it might explain some of this reaction. Also, maybe a better antibiotic would be good for you.
