Hello all, have any of you been suffering from blood pressure issues? I jut went to the ER yesterday for something that mysteriously appeared on my foot, but I ended up staying there 5 more hours than needed because my blood pressure would not get stable. It was 250/115. They checked my blood, everything was normal, normal kidney function, low salt levels. I didn't even feel bad. Today however, now that I have blood pressure meds., I have a headache, and I feel like my BP is high. Can this be some sort of Lyme reaction?

Posted 10/18/2008 7:01 AM (GMT -6) I feel like I have every issue somebody asks about here.   mad     I am really "starting to learn" that Lyme is a HIGHLY systemic disease and it can and will effect any part of your body.  That said...
I too have blood pressure issues since my Lyme kicked in.  Most times my blood pressure is something like 160/90 but it constantly fluctuates.   More often then not, when the nurse takes it in the doctor's office it is more like 130/80.   I bought a $75 electronic blood pressure monitor and tracked myself three times a day and I was all over the place.    My bp was never like this before the Lyme.
In my opinion, if you are confident that you have Lyme and the tests keep coming back normal in that area, then you can rest assurred that any symptom is pretty much fair game to the Lyme.  At least that is what I am learning.

Definately is Lyme related. I set off alarms in the doctors office when they take my bp. (: I will not take meds because it comes down on its own in a matter of time. And yes mine is all over the place too. Often times is quite low. But a high for me is like 170/110. Crazy.

My blood pressure is always low. Go figure. My pulse is always high. Lately I've been having heart palps too. I get to wear a heart monitor for a whole month. yay!
