I have been suffering from restless legs for a couple of years.  My legs ache all the time (24/7).  I'll start jerking my legs as the sun goes down of if I'm in a car or a long movie at the theater.  My legs move either like I'm swimming or I'm a "can-can" dancer.  My LLMD recently said this was not RLS but periodic limb movement disorder.

I was dx with babesia 2 weeks ago and I wondered if anyone else with lymes or babesia experience this too.

Also the pain in my right heel is level 8 out of 1 - 10.  No one has been able to determine the cause of the pain.  My LLMD thought it might be babesia, does anyone also experience this?

I started my Mepron and zithro this week and so far so good (no real GI problems / headaches are manageable).

Love to hear from others dealing with this.

hi maggie moo,

this is my first post on this forum and have found this site helpful in my quest for answers. i have had lymes 3 times in two years, the first time it was left untreated for 1 year. funny, we the patient seem more educated than the doctors who treat us!

i believe my RLS is a direct cause from my lymes, and of course the doctors just poo-poo my own diagnosis. been there done that with all sorts of perscribed meds, even the IV treatment of antibiotics.

so taking matters into my own hands, i did some research on the web and found a massage gel that is organic and has helped me 100%. again alot of negitive

responses from the medical community because i went organic.

not only was i suffering from the RLS, but my heels and the top of my feet were in pain and couldn't stop twitching.

off the subject i have had so much joint pain, neck, headaches, etc i simply couldn't sleep.

after finding relief using the product on my legs, i also started using it wherever

i ached-and it has worked for me.

the product is called SPORTA-FLX organic massage gel, it was inexpensive compared to all of the other junk i was on. it has no odor and leaves no tacky residue.

believe me, i could be the poster child for the company!! LOL

not saying this will work for every body, not trying to pick up business for them either, just wanted to share somthing positive with you.

best of luck with this terrible disease.

rudy joe.

Thanks ruby joe

I saw a web site that carried the gel you mentioned and you're right, it's affordable.  Last night I was up until after 1 am with all the kicking. IF I could stop kicking, jerking and twitching also have the joints not hurt so bad, I'd be in pretty good shape! LOL!!!

Welcome to the forum, i'm new here too.

Thanks for your reply,

maggie

i hear ya on what you are going through. my knees were bothering me so much last night, then the legs started.

i now keep my gel next to my bed, it's a reminder for me to appy it before i go to bed.

isn't the computer a wonderful thing? we can learn so much as long as we remain optimistic.

rudy.
