  I pulled a tiny deer tick out of my leg yesterday...didn't think anything of it...not the 1st and won't be the last.  One thing was different though...I woke up up with a fair amount of pain and stiffness in my knee...same leg the tick was in....and I have an almost textbook "bullseye" red circle where the little ****** was.   I do not have health insurance and can't afford to even go to a walk in clinic right now BUT I do work in an animal hospital and my boss will dispense doxy or amoxi to me.  I just can't seem to find the dosage and length of time to take them.  I know with our 4-legged patients we do 30 days at 10mg per pound but their dosage is always about 4 x higher than ours.
Hoping someone with experience will offer some insight...I am a 34yr old woman, allergies to any medications in the past.
