I just read online that a CD 57 below 60 means you've had chronic lyme for over one year.. Is this true? I'm so devestated.. My symptoms started July 31st and I received antibiotics a month later.. I then got tested 2 weeks later by my LLMD and that's when I got my CD 57 results of a 40.. So I've had this for at least a year??

I am not a doctor.

My first CD57 was 28. I don't know if CD57 tells how long you have a disease I do know it tells you how well your immune system is doing.

Where did you read it means you've had chronic Lyme for over a year?

health centers of america .. i googled cd 57 and thats wut came up in the description

I've never heard that, but it sounds like it could be possible because it would stand to reason that the longer you have had Lyme, the lower your CD-57 is. But that's just a guess.

I'm actually still confused about my CD-57 (in April 2007)

I'm looking at the report now and it says

% CD8-/CD57+ Lymphs 4% Limits 2-17

Abs. CD8-CD57+ Lymphs 80/ul Limits 60-360



I assumed that meant my result was 80, but I don't think I ever got a clear cut answer on that.

NOt every LLMD checks CD57. My 3 guys who are supposedly the best, do not use this measure for info, so don't freak out. there are not many straight answers with this disease
