I have the cracking of joints and if you search the prior posts you will find a discussion about it. My cracking is incredibly loud, for instance if I kneel down you can hear my knee crack clear across a large room. Have you been diagnosed with Lyme? Other contaminants (I am also mold-injured) and chemicals can also cause this. It is symptom of being toxic.

I have not been dx with Lyme. For over 4 months I ahve had migratory pains that jump around my body daily-usually ankle, toe, finger. Its like a quick toothache type of pain that will stab a few times and move on. Also have vibrating in foot/tingling in foot as well, the extreme joint cracks (I mean EXTREME). For 2 months non stop muscle twitches all over my body and now my right eye gets pains and I have a constant r side headache.

I have had tons of tests- you name it, its been done.

My Igenex came back pos on IGM for only one (think it was 21) and 34/41 IND.

I did find out I have a cspine issue but have not seen a NS yet, that will be in NOv. I do not think it is the cause for everything, certainly not my cracking.

Hi king1234. I get the migratory shooting bone pain too. It's so weird! Every few minutes or so it will jump from one odd place to the next. When it gets really bad you just kinda ride it out like labour pain. It can be tiring! I'm pretty sure that it's peripheral neuropathy. I get the other odd sensations too like being stuck with a big needle, extreme itching in feet for hours, crawling sensations, electric buzzing, pins and needles, arms and legs falling asleep for hours, and loss of sensation/feeling. I was on Neurontin and it took most of those sensations away. I also get myoclonic jerks up to 12 per minute, muscle twitches, had 3 bulged disks in 2 years, and I also have extreme joint cracking. I can raise my shoulder and hear popping all down my spine. I get it anywhere and everywhere, including ribs and pelvic area. I'm curious to know what makes that happen. I do know that I was a completely healthy 25 y/o before getting Lyme in 2006. Now I have an endless list of symptoms and am just doing my best to knock back the Lyme. I hope you find some answers here on the Lyme forum. Best to you.

1000% YES!  This was one of my earliest symptoms.    EVERY doctor told me it was nothing to worry about, but I KNOW it is.  It's not a natural cracking feeling.  Before all my symptoms started, I used to hear a cracking joint every once in awhile and it bordered on feeling good...like a natural pressure was being released.    Now I get them, especially in my ankles, every 5 minutes if I'm walking, and it feels very unhealthy...like two bare bones rubbing past each other.

My Naturopath says joint cracking like that is from inflammation in the joint, which we know Lyme can cause. My knees crack and have a squeaky rubbing sound in them (kinda creepy).

King1234, I think your symptoms are consistant with chronic Lyme, and the fact that you got 1 positive band on the IgeneX test is significant. I hope you've found an LLMD to discuss this with...

Take care,

I don't get the swelling/redness either. It's called arthralgia instead of arthritis, but that's just semantics because low levels of inflammation in the joint won't make it swell or turn red but will make the joint crack. My Mom also has loudly cracking knees, and anti-inflammatory herbs do help her knees so I know it has to be inflammation just not enough to make the redness/swelling. Good luck,

Okay guys, I got tested for some co infections yesterday> I pray one comes back POS so I can get a dx for these issues. Part of me still fears MS in a big way, but I dont think the joint cracks fit into that?

I am so tired of drs saying joint cracking is normal. Mine is NOT, I never had it before all my symptoms started. Last night I was woken up because my body was cracking when I rolled over. Sometimes the same joint will crack within seconds-how is that normal!

Yesterday was a bad day. I kept getting bone crushing pains in my middle finger-it would hit for a minute then go away then come back hours later for a minute, at one point it jumped to my knuckle on my other hand for a second then hrs later it jumped back to my middle finger.

I am so confused and just want to be diagnosed so I can get treatment for whatever it is.

Mija, I had pain in my fingers so bad that I'd gotten to the point where I couldn't open jars and I was only 23 at the time. It went on that bad literally for like 6 months. The only thing I added to my supps was chlorella in large doses and within about a week the pain started to subside. Then it would totally go away for a days before it'd resurface. Finally it totally went away for months...until I stopped taking the chlorella. Try that stuff! It works best taken on an empty stomach for some reason.

King - fingers crossed for you ....I get the cracking joints ONLY when Herxing now , three years into treatment. When I first got sick , my kids would fall about laughing when I got out of bed every day because they said it sounded like someone jumping on bubble wrap. My jaw once cracked so loudly my dentist dropped the drill !

My pains just hit for a minute then jump to another area so odd. I still worry MS even though MRI was clear.

My joint cracking is insane, I once counted 15 times in 10 minutes. I NEVER cracked before this. They are typically very very loud cracks too.

My cracking seems to be getting much worse. I am starting to get paranoid that I have ALS because my muscles continue to twitch ALL OVER every day and I dont understand why I am cracking so much

Months before my serious symptoms started, I all of a sudden started getting these "cracking joints"
I thought it was age, but it was out of the blue and never stopped.

When I start abx, the cracking came and went. Then it went away all together since last May.
This past Friday, it started up again and I've nt been feeling well.

I'm not on any abs but have healed naturally. I'm going to start a round of herbs and see what happens

I think like what Razze said, It's prob caused from inflammation. Makes sense b/c I'm having a ton of inflammation right now
