I break out every few weeks in a rash on one side of my neck.  It starts off with just one bump or two which are very itchy. Then it usually leads to a larger break out.  The rash resembles a rash you would get from poison ivy.  My doc feels that this is due to the lyme.  What are your thoughts?

Hi Anne! Have you ever considered it might be a fungal/yeast infection? If you are not allergic to lamisil cream (over the counter tube of cream for fungus) you could try it and see if it helps stop the itching and helps clear up the rash. These kinds of rashes can come and go depending on the state of your health at the time, and even to changes in diet. For example, eating more sugar or carb can encourage fungal growth. Ask your doc. I also wondered if it could be due to Bartonella, or even if it could be a food allergy? Seems like this crazy disease keeps us trying to solve problems, doesn't it?!

Best wishes to you. bablymers mom
