I was wondering if anyone out there has babesia only.

I was biten in 1988 and dx 5 years later (1993) after 8 years of tx I was lyme free.

NOW after becoming increasingly ill the last 2 years, tested for co-infections and found positive for babesia.  I'm on Mepron and Zithromax.

Any one else dealing with just Babesia?

King1234-
I was tested and positive for Lymes in 1993. At that time there was no thought about testing for all the co-infections. After I finished the meds for lymes (8 years!!), I was doing okay(still not back to were I was but not as down as I was). Then 2 years ago all this weird stuff started happening and no one could find what was going on, then I thought to go back to my LLMD who I haven't seen in 4 years. He thought I sounded like co-infections and sure enough = tests results showed babesia and NO lymes.
So I'm dealing with babs only right now.
I also hope you can come back with some results as to what is going on with your health. I think not knowing is in many ways harder then the actual disease sometimes.
Good luck King1234
