I got off meds approx in March, I was really feeling good, a few months ago I started feeling anxious and shortness of breath, I thought it will pass but than I started getting fluctuating blood pressure and racing pulse, which to me is very scarry, I am currently on Coreg and Benicar to control the symptoms, I was told I had Thyroiditis and Pericarditis, yesterday I spoke to my Cardiologist and he said these symtoms are not cardiac maybe I have Pericaditis but he thinks its caused by Lyme Disease, I have pain in my joints but I am not concerned about that now, my biggest concern is that my EKG is showing a change in rythm on and off, I called my LLMD but not sure when she will respond, I think I can find an EMT in the community to do a Midline, I can also get Rocephin for about $300-400 per month plus supplies, should I go ahead with this or any ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated,

Hi Judy.  When did you last have thyroid testing done?  Hyperthyroidism can cause anxiety, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations.  I highly recommend looking into this.  Ask to have the Free T3, Free T4, (besides the T3 and T4) and thyroid antibodies tested in addition to the normal panel.

Babesiosis can also cause shortness of breath and heart palpitations.  Have you ever had this?  Have you been tested for it recently?

Hi Ticker,

I do have some thryoid antibodies, Free T3 and Free T4 are within normal range, I was on Synthroid .125 and  started with the palpatations, high blood pressure and joint pain, I contacted by endo and we stopped synthroid because my TSH was .15, once I stopped my synthroid my TSH went up to 14.98, so I restarted the Synrthroid at .50, my endo at this point thinks I am having anxiety issues, my Cardiologist thinks its Lyme, can Lyme cause Pericarditis.

I was tested for Babesiosis approx 1 1/2 years ago and tested negative, what is the best test for Babesiosis?

Do you think I should just start meds till I get in to see a doctor?
