Congratulations! You are going to be fine and so will your baby. I have an 8 month old little girl who is so happy and so healthy. She is amazing. I too was "surprised" to find out I was pregnant and I was terrified as I had just stopped abx about
a month prior to finding out I was pregnant. I actually thought my lyme was getting worse not knowing I was indeed pregnant. My lyme doc put me on amox. throughout the pregnancy and while breastfeeding. I did have a very sick pregnancy. It wasn't easy, but so did my mother so not sure if it was lyme related or not. I have to say too that after having the baby, I felt great and while breatfeeding I felt amazing. It was a nice break from being so sick for 9 months and not counting the treating of the lyme previous. I was diagnoed with lyme 10 years ago so I worried terribly that I would pass it on the fetus. I saw another specialist as well and all 3 of my doctors assured me that I would not pass it on to her. I did have her tested at about
5 months and she was fine. I will continue to have her tested and keep my eyes
open for symptoms, but she couldn't be a better baby.
Good luck and I wish you all the best. She is the best thing to have ever happened to me. Some days now are a little harder than others as I do get sick from time to time and likely still have to treat some lyme symptoms which sucks when you have a little one to take care of, but it is all worth it. It just makes you want to work that much harder to stay well.
