Hi again.

My feet usually hurt -- this started a couple weeks ago -- when they first hit the floor in the morning. Classic Lyme symptom.

I hate this disease. I guess there's no cure at this stage, but I still hope like your name -- I love it -- KeepHope.

Let's all do that and maybe we'll get over this some day -- soon! Please forgive me for venting, but if we can give a trillion dollars to restore the health of the economy, we can raise some capital to restore the health of a few million human beings.

Thanks. Sorry about your feet. What is Ketek?

Ketek can cause paresthesia (listed as a rare side-effect), which is abnormal sensations (such as prickling, burning, tingling, etc.). Could also be due to an interaction between Ketek and one of your other medications. You might want to discuss this with your pharmacist and doctors.

And there is also the possibility of this being a herx...

I hope this helps - take care,

Oops, forgot to include link to side-effect/drug interactions page for Ketek:

hopingToFindCure,

Ketek is an antibiotic.

Take care,

Foot pain can also be a bart symptom. I have bart and I have foot pain especially when first walking in the morning. But I wouldn't describe it as a burning pain.

I hope you can resolve this soon!!

I also have a friend with Lyme that has the hurting feet and  she is on doxy only. The hurting feet was her first symptom, not a reaction from the meds. She has Lyme only, no co-infections. Hope this helps.

after i contracted lymes the first time i then developed

RLS, with this i was blessed with alot of pain in my feet, even the covers on my bed would bring on the pain. i tried soaking them, massaging lotions into them, no relief.  this past summer i once again contracted lymes [third time] there wasn't a joint that didn't hurt. my neck and head hurt so bad, sick to my belly, and all i wanted to do was cry or puke.  i did find somthing to relieve the pain in my body, an organic massage gel called SPORTA-FLX. it sure has helped me a bunch!

Chances are its Bartonella. I had real bad foot pain...Dr. Zhang's protocol helped me with Bartonella and Lyme.

no, i found it by searching the web. i did alot of my own research and thought i would give it a try, glad i did.

try searching sporta-flx as i can't remember the exact

www thing.

hey, good luck this lymes really almost got the best of me.

the docs now told me that if you had gotten the vaccine for it, they now say it won't protect you.

keep me posted on how you do.

god bless.

Hi all,
I agree with the bartonella thing. I get pain in the bottoms of my feet also. I've tested neg for co-infections but my LLMD still thinks I have bart, bab and erhlichiosis based on my symptoms. She said the foot thing is bart.

I'm going to check out the sporta flx. Thanks for sharing what works for you rudy.

blessing to us all

my heart really goes out to all of you who suffer from this

terrible disease. i only wish the doctors were as informed as all of us. i knew within a few days i had caught it again, all of the same symptoms.

i had taken one of my dogs with me when out in the woods cutting wood. i noticed he was really sick, could barely move.

took him to the vet and he said rocky mountain spotted tick.

but he is up to date on all shots, including the lymes i told him.

makes no difference i was told, but the good thing is he won't get it again.

and we live in wisconsin!!

like i said the gel has helped me a bunch, there were so many good things about it in researching it, i couldn't afford not to try it. and if it didn't work then i was only out the $20.00.

one of the best $20.00 investments i ever did for myself.

Foot pain has been a huge issue for me, have been dealing with it since January--my doctor's theory is that Bartonella is now coming out since he focused on treating Borrelia/Babesia prior to this w/ Minocin/Doxy/Amoxicillin/Mepron. Anyway am now on Rifampin everday/Azythromycin every other day and after 6 weeks on that protocol my feet no longer hurt--frankly this is the first time I've noticed a direct response to ABX so maybe Bart has been the biggie for me the whole time though when I herx I still get Borellia/Babesia symptoms too. They're keeping me on this protocol for the time being to see if anything else clears up.
