I've been on Ceftin and Oil of Oregeno for about 11 days.  I've been on Ceftin before without this side effect.  In the last few days I have started to itch like crazy all over my body.  It started when I went from 2 to 3 Oil of Oregeno pills.   I cut back down to one yesterday.  I doubt this is an allergic reaction because this is the only typical allergic-type symptom, so I'm wondering if this is a new form of herx for me.

Anyone else ever have full body itching start out of nowhere?

Thanks!

I had this several times. It just about drove me crazy. Sometimes it felt like bugs crawling on my legs.

This can also be a symptom of morgellons. I didn't know that at the time, but I have several freinds who have as a co infection of lyme disease.

When you have morgellons' you eventually get lesions, which I never had.

I can't say for sure, but it sure seems like it was lyme related. I know of others with lyme who have itching as a symptom as well.

Chris, when I read the post here about niacin, I bought some and decided to try it. I itched all over with my first pill, never did another. I had the same problem with doxy, I believe the itching is a symptom of "stirring things up" when you try something new. Does that make sense?? D

Thanks TG!

It does Dowa...I'm positive it is not an allergic reaction now because I took a hot shower and the symptom did not worsen. When you have an allergic reaction to something heat or warming up the body accelerates the circulation through the body and worsens the symptom(s). I learned this the hard way the last time I had an allergic reaction to something. I guess, in a way, it’s a good thing. Thanks for the input!
