Hello all, how is everyone coming along?
So, like many of you, I have chronic Lyme, but unlike many of you, I have trouble believing I have this (although Dr.E has helped me to understand that I do).
Anyway, I don't keep up with my natural regimine like I should, and I def do not take the antibiotics. Is it common for new issues like dry skin, bruises coming from nowhere, aches, twitches, etc., to begin? I feel like new probelme shouldn't arise, but they do, and I have now decide to take my regimine as prescribed, but have any of you experienced new problems?

Hi Jenisis,

I definitely experience new symptoms a lot, and like you, I don't keep up with my regime like I should.

What protocol are you on?

Oh, *Bella*, sorry I'm late.
Well, I eat poorly, and by poorly I mean pizza, sandwiches,Indian,Chinese,Mexican, popcorn, cookies, etc.. I attempt to "counteract" this poor eating by walking/jogging 6 miles a day, eating small amounts of the retched food, taking vitamin D, Cats claw, Oil Of Oregano, Zrii juice, Mangosteen juice, Green Vibrance with O.J., B vitamins, Fish oil, Magnesium, Zicam when I feel a cold coming on, a choice between Vicodin, Tramadol, or Gabapentin for nerve pain, very, very little sleep, a few breaths of my portable oxygen can, and a colon cleanse.

This regimine does not work, for I am forever in pain. I can not sit for 10 minutes w/o feeling pain, and walikng comlpletely bent over until my muscles warm, once I stand. My skin will soon match sand, The inner part of my elbows(in the crease) have darkened and changed color, I get these weird bumps(3 so far) on my face, and they heal firm, and stay scarred. They're not zits. My scalp likes to break open, lumps enjoy the right side of my scalp, and now bruises? Why do these pop up, even on the sole of my foot? I'm now being tested for co-infections. Leave it to me, I think I have heart disease, cancer, aids, diabetes, shingles, strokes, nervoue condition, bi-polar, bullemia, and schitizophrenia(I do realize this is spelled more than incorrect).
I don't understand how this disease works, I do forget about it, and it is hard for me to focus on. I find that I focus when I flare up. I like my regimine. It's a lot of pills, but I realy don't want to take Antibiotics. I think my diet needs to completely 360 for me to actually start feeling better, and slowing down it's progression...which I'm doing now, btw.

1 question though, does Herxing mean the meds are working, does everyone Herx?

In spite of new symptoms, stick with the regimen prescribed -- to the extent possible. Lyme apparently takes a very long time from which to heal. But you can hasten recovery by sticking to a few things
