Hi - I've had Lyme for awhile and I've done mostly herbal treatment with some oral antibiotics. Anyway, my question is: Do you know if the saggy and wrinkly skin you can get with Lyme is reversible? Lately I seem to be having a progression of those symptoms, with more areas becoming wrinkly -- even in my face and neck -- and I'm totally freaking out. I think I need to step up my treatment, but I am just curious if anyone knows if I can expect improvement with treatment, or if these changes are permanent. And has anyone else dealt with this? Thank you for your responses.

yes I have to deal with this too, skin gets very thin, wrinkly; I started a thread here, asking for others who have this skin problems, called ACA;
did you talk to a dermatologist? what does your llmd say? It interests me a lot; it is sometimes said here (Europe) that it can get better after abx;
my skin problems came and went, means I got it on my ellbow, it got worse and got better again and after some time, sometimes even a year or so I got it on my leg; my skin got better after using different creams / oils form our healt food store and after detoxing; I did the try and error method but my skin got stronger again and obviously less thin; but one can still see where it was.

Yes I read your posts about ACA - It doesn't sound like the same thing. My skin isn't thin or red. But nevertheless it's a skin manifestation of Lyme, like yours is. And equally distressing! My LLMD had told me at one point that "most of this skin damage is reversible" (I had told him my skin was getting all saggy and old-lady-ish), but I have not made an appointment with him since these recent exacerbations. I will try to go see him, or someone else, next week and let you know what I find out. (Also, I am praying that my skin problems "come and go" like yours but we'll see....and yeah, I wonder if detoxing would  help -they say detox agents like DMPS/DMSA can have "anti-aging" effects)
