I saw my PCP today because of my shortness of breath. She didn't say anything about the sauna and she knows nothing about herxes, so that part was useless.

She did say my lungs were clear, but said she thinks I may have Asthma. I described my shortness of breath to her as a feeling of not being able to catch my breath or get enough air. I don't really feel it in my chest, I feel it in the back of my throat, and even my nose sometimes.

It is so frustrating not knowing if what I have is Lyme, Babesia/Bartonella?, or something else.

Does anyone else feel like this?

I don't have asthma nor any other lung problems. Since I acquired Lyme, babesia/bartonella
I can't walk up one flight of stairs without gasping for breath.

Hi Max.  Shortness of breath is one of the hallmark symptoms of Babesiosis.  What other symptoms do you have?

Are you currently being treated?

Hey Max,

Thanks for the email. Yes, I am having the same symptoms as you, except I was using an infrared sauna and not a regular one. I'm not sure what the difference is. It's interesting that you mentioned asthma, because I spoke to one of my doc's on the phone today that mentioned the same thing, along with that it might be a symptom of the pulmonary hypertension, which I may or may not have.

I responded to your email in a little more detail. I hope we can figure this out soon. Feel better!

Ticker,

I have breathing problems as well as joint/muscle pain, migraine headaches, difficult swallowing sometimes. I am self treating with Cat's Claw right now while I wait to find a dr. I'm looking to see dr. R in Manhattan since I am close to the city.

Robin,

Thanks for your email :-) Maybe we have the same problem. I use my sauna at my gym every day and my wife said maybe it's that but I haven't been there since the can't catch my breath feeling started. I haven't seen a pulmenologist yet. When do you see yours?

I had this problem & my GP said it was lack of exercise! It turned out to be cryptostrongylus pulmoni, microscopic lung worms that were living symbiotically with the borrelia. Ivermectin treated them.

For me I think air hunger was caused by surges in blood pressure, 2 blood pressure meds and I am feeling pretty good

Smiffy,

I'm interested in how you found out about the lung worms? Is there a test?

Judy,

Does air hunger only come with high bp? I don't believe I have high bp.

Judy,

Yes it's very scary. It is relieved somewhat when I lie down. It also produces a feeling in my throat that is almost like I am getting sick, but I am not.

My lung worms were found by live blood microscopy (I'm in the UK).

Please take a look at this video of myself that I posted on youtube of me and my shortness of breath attacks I get daily. Please forgive me when I speak in the video that this is a panic attack because thats what I was told it was at the time, but I now no different. I am waiting on bloodwork for confirmation, but everything points to Lymes. Please let me know if you experience similar.
