do fluorescent lights affect you? especially in a big area, like a grocery store? if so, how?

This question I understand! when I was on oral abx last year I finally realized that everytime I was in walmart I got sooooooo sick. I soon made the connection that it was the fluorescent lights that made me so sick. I would sweat, get nauseau, and would literally have to sit down. I began wearing sunglasses when in situations like that. I was taking doxycycline and flagyl. I believe it was the doxy due to the light sensitivity when taking it.

Weird! I started getting the symptoms too right after starting doxy for acute/chronic LD! I still have it now and then. And it's annoying. So, it goes away once you're off of the medication?

I will live for that day -- and the the day I stay off of meds too.

YES - The first time I was in my LLDr's office, he had flourescent lights and a ceiling fan that kept whirling and whirling. I had to slouch down and cover my eyes. He actually walked out into the waiting room and asked me what was the matter and then had someone shut off the fan.... it was like blink, flourescent, whirl, repeat....

I am not on doxy, nor am I diagnosed with lymes, but I get extremely sick in fluorescent lighting, especially somewhere like wal-mart. my head spins, my heart palpitates, i feel like i will faint, i get really nauseous, etc etc. i have often had panic attacks in situations like these as well. i am not totally sure it is the fluorescent lighting, but maybe a combo of that and also all the stimulation. but i just feel terrible, and was wondering if this was common with lyme's. i also have wicked vision problems from whatever is going on.
i had been diagnosed with POTS, a dysautonomia, which was recently ruled out. i have ruled out pretty much every condition under the sun. i am just wondering if these reactions are typical with lyme.

It could certainly be from EMF, electrical sensitivity. Flourescent lights are one of the first things that people with EMF have trouble with. Gracie, google EMF and you will be surprised by the list of symptoms.   D
